Also as you explained you said you realized some money were missing after your departure only. The only person that can open the safe are you, the other persons sharing the room with you, and the Master key holder, our Guest Relation Manager which was always with you to open your safe. ![]() We are deeply sorry for your loss but the resort cannot be accused without any proof. We analyzed all facts and gave you the conclusions. Please be informed about this situation and do not put your money into the safe box at least not in this resort. I am writing this review just to warn the future guests of thıs hotel. I wouldn’t make any comments if I wasn’t %100 sure that the money was stolen from the safe box. Then I wrote an email Hotel GM but he couldn’t care less and accused me of lying, said that I was robbed somewhere else.I never thought that I would be robbed from the safe box in a luxury resort. But here it is that someone somehow opened it twice and took my money. I called the hotel but surprisingly the guest relations Cecile claimed that she has the only key and it is impossible to open it without the key or password. I supposed to have exactly 2800 USD, but it was 2200usd. When I opened my wallet to count my money I was shocked because 600 USD was missing. Until that time I did not open and count my money which was in my wallet inside zipper. And we left hotel and checked in another hotel in stone town. I told her that this time I am sure that we didn't entered the code incorrectly they should have someone check this safe. I tried to open the safe, same problem happened and I thought the safe is somehow broken or batteries run out of power. The next morning we prepared for check out to go to our other hotel in stone town. Our passports and wallets were inside I wasn't suspected anything. I said its unlikely but didn't think much about it. She said may be you your friend entered the password incorrectly. The guest relations representative Cecile came and opened it for me with her key. I thought it is a regular common problem and asked for assistance. The 4th night of our stay when we come to our room we couldn't open our safe box. We put the wallets, passports, watches and some jewellery into the room safe. ![]() On our first day I recount my money took 200 dollars and left the rest in my wallet inside a zipper place. We read and heard that credit cards are not valid for most of the places in Zanzibar so in case of possible unseen emergencies and expenses I have 3000 usd with me for me and my sister. We were three ladies one my sister the other my best friend, to celebrate my 40th birthday. We booked a Junior Suite at Hideaway of Nungwi resort hotel through stayed 4 nights in room 107 at the end of August. ![]()
